Dr Bowden does not provide the following services:

Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy
Medicolegal assessments or reports for court
Individual Psychotherapy
Dr Bowden sees individuals for psychotherapy. Dr Bowden practices individual psychodynamic psychotherapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing therapy. Please note that all patients seeking to engage Dr Bowden for psychotherapy must first see Dr Bowden for an initial general psychiatric assessment to establish whether (and what type) of psychotherapy will be the best fit for your patient. This does not require a mental health care plan.
Neurodevelopmental Disorder Assessments
Dr Bowden provides detailed specialist assessments for adults and adolescents above 16 years old for neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Patients wishing to discuss neurodevelopmental conditions should be referred for a general initial psychiatric consultation, and neurodevelopmental assessments may be organised thereafter. This assessment does not guarantee any diagnosis nor specific treatment. This assessment does not include any NDIS documentation or formal reports.
General Psychiatric Assessment & Care
Dr Bowden provides general adult psychiatric care for all mental health conditions. Dr Bowden provides new assessments and ongoing care of established mental health conditions. Dr Bowden has a special interest in complex trauma, functional conditions, medically unexplained symptoms and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Please note individuals must first see Dr Bowden for a general initial psychiatric consultation.
Individuals who receive ongoing psychotherapy will be entitled to higher Medicare rebates once they reach the Medicare Safety Net threshold.
Concession fees
Reduced concession pricing is available for consultation fees for individuals holding the following cards: Pensioner Concession Card (PCC), Health Care Card (HCC) and Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (CSHC).
Reduced concession pricing is not available for neurodevelopmental assessments and psychotherapy.
This practice does not bulk bill.
WorkCover & other external funding sources
Dr Bowden is happy to see patients whose care is funded through WorkCover. However, please inform your patient that Dr Bowden does not bill WorkCover directly. Patients insured under Workcover will be charged directly at the time of the appointment and it is up to patients to submit their claims to Workcover independently. Consultation fees are unchanged for patients seen under WorkCover. Please note that this consultation fee does not include any WorkCover reports, and these are billed separately.
If your patient is eligible for reimbursement through private insurance, government programs, or other external funding sources, your patient will be charged directly at the time of the appointment and can submit a claim independently.
